How do you like the spongy brakes and ship-tiller steering? :3

Dizzying levels of HDR there! iPhone 4?

The brakes:

The first 10% of pedal travel is 74% of brake application, which is weird. The next four inches of pedal does next to nothing.

Steering:

Absolutely effortless. No road feel, super amped-up power steering pump, takes a lot of getting used to. Surprisingly little slop in the wheel, considering it's 15 years old.

And interior materials that make a Happy Meal toy look expensive!

Nokia Lumia 925 and some preset functions in Photomatix. Too lazy to do it properly/manually and I like the overdone HDR look a bit more than I should.

If they haven't been replaced, put it in the air and check all of the brake lines. Right away.

Already done. The brakes have been check, sending unit replaced, AC has been serviced, all that's left to do is replace the windshield and it'll be perfect.

Cool. This gen GM truck is notorious for having the brake lines rot out. Speaking from personal experience.

Ah, interesting! My old iPhone 4 used to make HDR pictures like this (some overlap) if the phone moved in any way while processing.

Interesting. It's in a rust-free area and hardly got driven by the previous owner (my late aunt)

Are you referring to the truck or the Buick?

I had the pleasure of driving the Suburban variant. Oh how hilarious it was putting raceboys and their old JDM cars in their place.

loved my 99 silverado std cab swb. Nothing would go bad on that truck. At 110,000 still had original shocks, brakes, bulbs, battery (9) years old. Kept ontop of oil changes but that thing was awesome. It was a base model. No carpet, manual locks and windows. 4.3 V6 auto but had 4 wheel discs. My grandpas 06 LS model doesn't have that.

I'll give you the brakes, since the 1500 I'm used to has 33" tires.

I would guess it's similar to ze Buick. Having learned to drive on an '04 Park Avenue Ultra, I don't see how any other modern car could steer worse.

Hmm maybe my parents' truck is getting too old. The steering is so sloppy I could start convulsing and still stay in my lane.

The 4.3 is a pretty solid engine, honestly. From what I hear it's just a Chevy 350 minus two cylinders. Makes a great noise, too.

oh man, premature wear ans physics :(

I rented a 2013 F-150 and I was surprised how well it drove. It's not as "Impala bouncy" as my Chevy. Good job Ford

If it's anything, I've driven my grandmother's '02(with less than 50k miles) and it was miles better than my Dad's '08 Ram 1500. If you like terrifying, drink throwing body roll, then the Ram is you truck. If not, the Chevy is a corner carver compared to it.

It honestly does corner pretty flat. It bounces if you hit anything resembling a bump, and you're REALLY aware of the high center of gravity which is terrifying, but yeah. Corner carver.

The Ram has launched a drink across the cab at 15 mph in a turn. It squeals around not sharp curves at 45, curves that I have taken at 60 in my lifted Toyota.

Having driven an Impala of your Buick's vintage, more like handling by Carolina Skiff.
